Shower Doors and Enclosures
When it comes to choosing shower doors and enclosures, there are many different options that will provide you with the exact style and feel that you’re looking for. By working with Clear Choice Bath to choose from these options, you will be able to get the right shower door for your bathroom so it will not only fit well, but also look great and match your personal style.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when considering shower doors and enclosures:
The two basic types of shower doors are a sliding door and a pivot door. Typically, sliding doors work better in a smaller bathroom since they don’t take up additional space. These are also more commonly used when being installed above a bathtub. Pivot doors, on the other hand, will work for larger bathrooms and are more common in shower enclosures.
We have a number of options for choosing the frame color for your shower doors. This will allow you to match the frame to your existing bathroom colors or simply choose one that you like best. You can choose from bright silver, polished silver, dark bronze, or brushed bronze. You will also be able to decide if you want the frame to go around the entire door, or choose one of our frameless options.
There are several types of glass to choose from depending on your personal preferences. The most common glass types are Cavata, crystal clear, falling lines, and frosted. Each type of glass determines how well it can be seen through, and how distorted the image on the other side is. Frosted glass, for example, will prevent anyone from seeing clearly through the glass, even if they’ve right next to it.
For most stationary glass doors, ½-inch glass is used, but sliding shower doors typically have 3/8-inch glass so it’s a big lighter. However, you can also choose from ¼-inch glass and 5/16-inch glass. Although it’s likely that this will be decided for you to some degree depending on what type of door you have, you can also let us know if prefer a certain thickness of glass.
There are a number of brands to choose from when it comes to sliding doors and shower enclosures. More than likely, this will be determined more by your other preferences, since the exact door that you want may not be made by every brand. However, if you do have a certain brand preference, tell us, and we can help you use brand as a starting point for choosing your new shower door.
Although this is often the first thing that people consider, we believe that you should first figure out what type of shower door you want, and then check the price. After all, it’s going to be in your bathroom for years, so don’t be afraid to pay a bit more to get the shower door of your dreams. That way, every time you walk into your bathroom, you can look at your shower door and be satisfied with your selection.
