Tub and Shower Conversion to Open Shower with Free
This project replaced an aging walk-in shower and built-in tub with a modern open shower and freestanding tub. The renovation created a more spacious layout, improved lighting, and installed low-maintenance no grout wall panels for durability and easy cleaning while elevating the room's overall design.
Project Overview
The homeowners wanted to modernize their bathroom, which featured a boxed-in fiberglass walk-in shower and a large built-in tub that consumed usable space. They envisioned an open, spa-like environment with cleaner lines, improved functionality, and a more updated aesthetic. To achieve this, the old fixtures were removed and the layout was reworked to support an open shower area paired with a contemporary freestanding tub. The no grout wall system was selected for its long-term durability, ease of maintenance, and upscale appearance.
Results
The finished space delivers a bright, open-concept bathing area with significantly improved visual flow. The open shower design enhances accessibility, while the freestanding tub adds a modern focal point. The marble-style seamless wall panels eliminate the need for grout maintenance and provide a high-end finish. The remodel successfully transformed an outdated layout into a luxurious, efficient, and easy-to-clean bathroom.
